End of Season Carmarthen Show for Caravans and Motorhomes
After three successful years with their spring Caravan and Motorhome Shows, local organisers Towy Events last year added a second event to their calendar. Such was its popularity that they have announced that once again the End of Season Caravan and Motorhome Show will come to the Carmarthen Showground on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 17th, 18th & 19th September 2010.
Visitors flocked to the show. Many a deal was struck as main dealers cleared their stock as the season drew to a close, and there was always the chance of a sneak preview of next year’s models!
Since its inauguration in 2007, dealerships had been quick to take advantage of the ready market in West Wales for caravans, motorhomes and all the back-up services and accessories which are essential to the pursuit of life on the open road.
Visitors and exhibitors alike enjoy the facilities of this user-friendly venue with its acres of flat, green field space and its easy access. All outside stands have tarmacadam frontage (so no wet feet if the weather turns), and are close by the inside stands in the exhibition hall, together with the cookery demonstrations, excellent catering facilities and children’s amusements.
Dedicated enthusiasts are able to stay on site for the duration of the show and they come from far and near. For a very modest £30, they can enjoy unlimited access to the show for two adults, entertainment by popular Welsh talent on Friday and Saturday nights and where a licensed bar makes for a very congenial atmosphere. Club rallies are made very welcome with special rates for large numbers.
The End of Season Caravan & Motorhome Show takes place at the Carmarthen Showground on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 17th, 18th, & 19th September 2010. The showground is just a mile out of Carmarthen on the A40 (west) and the show is open from 10am – 5pm each day. Admission for day visitors is £5 for adults (concessions £4) and parking is free and plentiful.
Enquiries about any aspect of the show are welcome either my email at info@towyevents.co.uk, or by telephone on 01267 236569.

On Saturday it was One man and His Dog with a difference: Meirion Owen entertained us with his beautifully trained sheep dogs, but instead of rounding up sheep, this amazing team of Man and Dog, rounds up DUCKS! They call themselves the Quack Pack and you have to see them to believe them.
Meirion has vast experience showing off his brilliant dogs. I don''t know what the ducks think about it, but everyone was delighted by his three shows on the Saturday of the weekend in April.
On the Friday night the singing group Addixtion entertained the overnighters (Clubland Award Winners) & Andy Rudge (Award Winning International Comedy Star) regaled us all with his superb comedy act.
On the Saturday night the Vocal Harmony Group Daddy Cool (Clubland Award Winners) sang music from the Eagles, Hollies, Bee Gees for a full house and Nicky Smiles (Clubland Award Winners 2009 - Superb Vocal Comedian) kept the crowd amused with his quick-fire humour.

"Dear Sir/Madam, Congratulations on the Caravan & Motorcaravan Show, my partner and I visited the show yesterday and we were very impressed myself having been to the one at Shepton Mallet I would say this one is better."
Thanks Roy Wilmot Visitor from Mountain Ash, South West Wales
"Show Update Testimonial We have just attended another well organised show, this time organised by Towy Events and despite the rain and mud, the staff worked extremely hard to ensure that all of the traders were put onto their stands. Albeit a small show at the moment in comparison to the much bigger shows, for us personally, we had another excellent show. Once again, there were a variety of stands and interest for all and I am sure that year on year, this show will grow into a fabulous event.

Just a note to say thank you for looking after our Club members so well at the weekend. I am told that everyone had a wonderful time, the area allocated was good, as was the entertainment and all facilities. I believe that many people also availed of the Park and Ride into Carmarthen so it all made for a very good weekend all round.
It was lovely to hear so many positive comments about the Show and Kieran and Phil will be submitting an article in our Club magazine for the members'' enjoyment.
